New Beginnings has been launched!

This has been my first blog post since ‘New Beginnings’ was released in eBook last month. Since then the paperback books have hit the shelves of the Book Dragon in Stockton-on-Tees and on their website and Creative Crafts & Curios in Selby. I am also in contact with a few other stockists so watch this space for more news on new stockists. Of course you can buy them from my website or on order from any good bookshop.

I recently attended a book signing in Wakefield under the banner of Promoting Yorkshire Authors where I met lots of interesting authors and readers. As usual life is very busy in the world of an author especially while I have also been writing book three in the Greengrove series which will feature Dawn and Connor’s story.

When I started writing New Beginnings I had an idea of the way I thought I wanted the story to go but as I progressed further into the writing the characters took over. I have heard writers say that the characters talked to them and it was certainly the case for me. Especially when Jane found out who it was who left the roses on the doorstep. She was the one who wanted deal with it and she wasn’t going to let either David or James get in her way. But she wasn’t silly enough to know that she wouldn’t need some kind of protection, which was why she welcomed the introduction of Connor. This was

just one of the scenes in the book that took me by surprise because it wasn’t in the initial plans for the book and I am happy to say that I am so glad that these scenes are in the book as I think that they show what a strong woman Jane really is.

I hope that those of you that have managed to get a copy of New Beginnings have enjoyed it and if you haven’t yet what are you waiting for?
